Explore functional genomics data across cell types, assays, and sources - without the wrangling

FILER2 lets users ask biological questions and immediately discover the most relevant functional genomics datasets.

FILER2 provides 100,000+ harmonized functional genomics and genome annotation tracks curated from 50+ data sources, enabling fast discovery, comparison, and reuse across 1,000+ cell types.

  • Search biologically, not by file name
  • Compare datasets across sources with consistent metadata
  • Stay up-to-date with versioned, curated releases

Getting Started

To get started, click on the Search to search by genomic coordinates or rsID, upload and analyze your own data (BED), or click Browse to explore FILER functional genomics datasets and annotations. See Download to download FILER datasets. See Deploy to install FILER on your local server or a cloud computing instance.

The Summary page provides an overview of FILER data contents by primary data sources, tissue and cell type categories, genomic feature type categories and experimental assays.

The About page provides details on FILER data source curation, data pre-processing and annotation.

Users can query by:

  • Gene / genomic region
  • Cell type
  • Assay type
  • Data source
  • Genome build
